A high-quality education in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) can propel young people into exciting and rewarding careers. FHI 360 works to expand STEM in underserved communities and level the playing field through these core activities:
- Developing research-based curricula for afterschool and other informal settings
- Conducting research and evaluation on STEM equity, engagement and identity
- Working with private sector, schools, districts and other local partners to develop customized models
- Implementing programs that provide students with real-world experiences
- Providing training and support to corporate employees to enhance skills-based volunteering and career mentoring
Our programs are developed by educators, researchers, scientists and gender experts who are passionate about the unlimited possibilities of STEM and understand the urgent need to meet the needs of the 21st-century workforce.
