In 2015, Johnson & Johnson (J&J) launched the WiSTEM2D initiative to build an active Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Manufacturing, and Design (STEM2D) community by encouraging representation in the field, thereby expanding the idea-base to help people everywhere live happier, healthier lives. J&J aims to inspire and empower women and men on their STEM2D journeys through access, engagement and skill development. Together, we believe STEM2D professionals are powerful catalysts for change in the world. Led by a network of volunteers from across J&J and its local operating companies, and supported by strategic partnerships with leading nonprofit organizations, this ambitious initiative involves programs for children, university students, and professionals.
FHI 360 has partnered with J&J on WiSTEM2D since its inception. FHI 360 provides technical assistance to support global implementation and manages the research, evaluation and documentation for the program, using common metrics and indicators to track, document and share outputs and outcomes.
