In China, FHI 360 collaborates closely with the government and other key partners to tackle health and development challenges and increase access to health care services.
FHI 360 has supported the government in strengthening services to combat HIV and AIDS, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and tuberculosis (TB), as well as to promote reproductive health. Our HIV programs have provided training and support that helped reduce the risk of HIV and STIs among key populations while working to reduce the discrimination and stigma of men who have sex with men and people who inject drugs. Through the Control and Prevention of Tuberculosis project, we partnered with local organizations, private health clinics and pharmacies to strengthen testing, referral and treatment services for multidrug-resistant TB.
Under Alive & Thrive, we have provided technical assistance to promote optimal maternal and child nutrition practices and helped China progress toward the World Health Assembly breastfeeding targets for 2025 and 2030.
