Rasika Padmaperuma leads and manages FHI 360’s multifaceted financial operations. He has had a long career dedicated to managing financial and accounting operations in the international development arena, and he has served in senior finance roles in the private, public and nonprofit sectors. He has broad and diverse experience managing multicultural teams in domestic and international settings.
Prior to joining FHI 360, he was a foreign service officer for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). He served in Jakarta, Indonesia, where he played a key role in managing initiatives under the USAID Forward Procurement Reform agenda. In addition, he served as the controller for University Research Co. LLC, Deloitte, Emerging Markets Group Ltd. and the Mitchell Group. Rasika was also the comptroller of the United Nations Office of Project Services (UNOPS), where he served in Denmark, as the senior finance leader for the agency.
Rasika is experienced in financial policy development, enterprise risk management, financial disclosures, strategic planning and budgeting. He has extensive experience in applying U.S. and international accounting standards in large and diverse organizations.
Rasika earned an undergraduate degree in accounting from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania and is a certified public accountant.
