September 2018 — This infographic describes mLabour, a digital decision-support tool (originally developed by Dimagi) that helps health care providers in low-resource settings support women giving birth in a facility. The five-year Alcançar project, funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, adapted mLabour for use in Nampula Province, Mozambique, where the tool is known as “mParto” (“mLabour” in Portuguese). This infographic describes how mLabour supports health care providers in each key moment of caring for a woman in labor at a health facility: admission, labor and delivery, immediate postpartum, and discharge. The tool allows health care providers to deliver quality care and quickly identify women who need closer monitoring or referral to a higher-level facility.
