August 2021 — The Data Verification and Improvement Tools and Guide were developed to assess and strengthen the quality of data collected, analyzed and used by programs globally. With these resources, programs can determine the accuracy of reported data; identify specific root causes of inaccurate data; gather information for revamping data collection and management systems; generate metrics from frequent assessments for tracking and comparing trends across sites; support partner profiling to help prioritize technical assistance and capacity-building activities; and help direct plans to improve data quality. The tools ensure the production of and access to high-quality data to support adaptive planning and programming, account for results, and measure program performance (outputs, outcomes and impact).
