May 2011 — In late 2010, FHI 360 received funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development to conduct a behavioral surveillance survey among men who have sex with men and women who engage in transactional sex in Port Moresby. The goals of the survey were to better understand how HIV is transmitted in the country and how transactional sex contributes to the HIV epidemic. The report assesses the outcomes of HIV outreach and prevention efforts.
