Through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Tujenge Jamii project, FHI 360, Deloitte, and Goldstar Kenya are working to increase the use of county-led, county-owned and county-managed health and social services in four counties in Kenya: Baringo, Laikipia, Nakuru, and Samburu. Services include HIV care and treatment; family planning; reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health; nutrition; and water, sanitation and hygiene. In 2022, U.S. government funds were provided to the project to support COVID-19 prevention, program repair and vaccine promotion activities across the four counties. The aim of USAID Tujenge Jamii is to create a coordinated and collaborative service platform led by the four counties.
