FHI 360 is working with the government of Ethiopia and the private sector to design and implement social and behavior change (SBC) strategies for increasing the sustained adoption of health and nutrition behaviors, alongside partners ActionAid Ethiopia; Zeleman Communications, Advertising and Production; and Fraym. Through the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Healthy Behaviors Activity, we seek to create supportive environments for change in which individuals and communities in Ethiopia can take ownership of their own health and well-being.
Our work through the USAID Healthy Behaviors Activity contributes to meeting family planning needs and improving maternal and child health. Through this programming, we also work to reduce malaria, COVID-19 and emerging infectious diseases; contribute to reductions in water, sanitation and hygiene-related illnesses; and improve nutrition outcomes. The activity particularly supports women and girls, young people, and other vulnerable populations seeking health care services, in an effort to address gender and social inequities.
