The Conflict Sensitivity Integration Hub (CSIH) Activity works to integrate conflict and violence prevention into U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) programs in Honduras and make policy and program interventions more effective by building an evidence base on conflict sensitivity. The project supports USAID/Honduras in analyzing and creating knowledge on conflict sensitivity and strengthens its capacity for conflict sensitivity. The project is also providing conflict sensitivity training and technical assistance for USAID/Honduras and its implementing partners, as well as piloting new conflict prevention and conflict sensitivity activities.
The CSIH Activity uses the conflict sensitivity integration process (illustrated in the figure) to ensure that projects avoid doing unintentional harm as they integrate conflict and violence prevention into programs. Through the Conflict Sensitivity Integration Help Desk, the CSIH team produces responses to requests that are driven by the needs of USAID and its implementing partners across sectors, informed by evidence, responsive to the local context and programming priorities, and easy to understand and act on.
