WASHINGTON – Today, FHI 360 released a new e-learning course designed to provide recommendations for programs to implement digital radiology and computer-aided detection (CAD) software for tuberculosis (TB) screening and equip health care providers with the knowledge and skills to accurately diagnose TB.
Developed in alignment with the latest World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines, the course provides a comprehensive overview of digital radiology and CAD technologies. The course also offers approaches for diagnosing TB in various age groups, practical examples of how to implement digital radiology and CAD software solutions, and lessons learned from the introduction and scale-up of digital X-rays and CAD systems for TB in various settings.
“This e-learning course will fill a critical gap in providing practical guidance for the implementation of digital radiology and advanced software for TB screening,” says Robert Makombe, program director for TB at FHI 360. “By equipping participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective implementation, we hope to enhance TB screening efforts in health care facilities, communities and congregate settings and to support ending TB.”
Participants will gain valuable insights into the integration of digital radiology and CAD in screening for and diagnosing TB and will be guided through relevant recommendations and key steps for successful implementation.
This free online course allows for self-paced learning across six modules and is available in English.
