Student outcomes improve when schools engage families as valued partners. FHI 360 designs programs and resources that promote evidence-based practices for ensuring family and community collaboration happens authentically throughout school districts.
Our experienced research team investigated common barriers to achieving authentic partnerships among schools, communities and families. The team conducted focus groups, interviews, reviews of the latest literature, community conversations, and site visits to identify proven strategies to address those challenges. On our Connected and Engaged portal we share practitioner guides, district profiles, policy briefs and other resources to support school districts, community organizations, and caregivers as they consider their own challenges and work to nurture a connected and engaged school community.
