The field of comparative and international education is increasingly being challenged by the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, the rise of authoritarianism and nationalism, and greater awareness of the central importance of diversity, equity and inclusion. From April 18 to April 22, 2022, FHI 360 will join colleagues from around the world to discuss innovative ways to navigate these challenges at the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES) Conference, which will feature panels, papers and roundtables related to four central concepts:
FHI 360 education specialists will explore such topics as providing teacher professional development and support for well-being through creative uses of technology, testing socioemotional learning programming in nonformal education environments, supporting citizen-led education initiatives, learning through play, and strengthening responsive caregiving.
CIES 2022 will be a hybrid conference, with in-person sessions held in Minneapolis, Minnesota, US. FHI 360 education specialists will present virtually.
