Dear friends and colleagues,
This past year, 2025, brought new and unexpected challenges for mission-driven organizations like ours. Rather than deter us, these changes strengthened our resolve and inspired purposeful action. As resources tightened and global needs grew — driven by emerging health threats, persistent conflicts and economic pressures — we sharpened our focus on expanding economic opportunity and promoting health for all, pillars that align our abilities with critical development challenges.
Throughout the year, we responded with creativity and adaptability, forging partnerships and embracing opportunities to shape the future together. We continued to invest in a broad network of experts, understanding today’s challenges require wide-ranging knowledge. By partnering with research institutions and communities, we ground decisions in evidence, relying on proven solutions and challenging assumptions to drive innovation and impact.
Technology continues to accelerate what’s possible. At FHI 360, we harness machine learning and artificial intelligence to reimagine our programs and operations — improving diagnostics and supporting essential health workers to reach more people, more efficiently. Even in remote and crisis-affected settings, today’s tools are helping connect expertise with urgent need.
Change is our invitation to lead. The stories in this report show how, in 2025, we led with determination and optimism — from equipping health workers in Mozambique with lifesaving skills to supporting future engineers in the U.S. with training and mentorship.
On a personal note, this is my final year at FHI 360. I’m deeply grateful to have worked alongside an extraordinary global team, and I’m confident they will continue to deliver solutions to some of the world’s most complex challenges for many years to come.
