May 2016 — This report shares the methodology, results and lessons learned in the Development Assets and Student Success Pilot Program in El Salvador, which was conducted as part of the Education for Children and Youth Program (ECYP) funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. The pilot program introduced two complementary interventions — positive youth development and FHI 360’s Indicators for Success dropout prevention framework — into lower secondary schools to support the success of at-risk youth in school and life. The report makes recommendations for stakeholders at the ministry and school levels on how to continue this work.
