As the existential threat from climate change grows, young people are demanding stronger action from schools, politicians and big businesses. While young people already demonstrate a passion for being part of the solution, education systems must equip them with the knowledge and skills they need to prevent and mitigate the long-term effects of climate change. This report outlines a review of current research to offer four strategic recommendations to help schools, policymakers, foundations and community organizations develop and strengthen climate change education programs for K–12 students.
