September 2015 — The APHIAplus Nuru ya Bonde project supported Kenya’s Ministry of Health to provide voluntary medical male circumcision (VMMC) services from 2011 to 2014 in Nakuru — one of the 10 counties in Kenya with the highest HIV burden. This brief highlights the achievements and lessons learned in the scale-up of VMMC services in Nakura, which resulted in the circumcision of more than 10,000 men and boys.
