February 2017 — This set of read aloud stories presents math themes in English and Hausa and includes comprehension questions and math activities. By teaching math through stories and activities, the Reading and Numeracy Activity (RANA) project aims to improve math skills and listening comprehension simultaneously, while making math fun and engaging for all learners. Many of the stories are set in the Nigerian context, while others feature animals and a more generic context. The stories cover a range of math themes, including counting, addition, subtraction and multiplication.
