This document summarizes the Capacity Development and Support project’s activities in Lesotho through the LLPTA (Lesotho Local Partners Technical Assistance) Project. The goal of the project was to increase the pool of local organizations, especially faith-based organizations, in Lesotho to ensure effective HIV pandemic control. It sought to improve the effectiveness of local partners in areas of compliance, human resource and governance, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting requirements of PEPFAR activities. It also aimed to strengthen local partners’ provision of high-quality HIV and AIDS services and improve the uptake of HIV prevention services through the Faith based and Community Initiative, which used evidence-based approaches and coordinated with other international and local partners who were providing technical assistance. Project priorities included child safeguarding policies and sexual violence education.
