February 2021 — These research briefs examine three pillars of nurturing care during the COVID-19 pandemic: responsive caregiving, early learning and play, and children’s safety and security. One brief summarizes the results of a rapid review that examined emerging research on nurturing care for young children during the COVID-19 crisis. Another brief describes the implementation experiences and emerging lessons of COVID-19 response strategies of seven programs that prioritize nurturing care and early childhood development. A comprehensive report outlines case studies of seven programs working to promote and protect nurturing care during the COVID-19 pandemic.
