A Gendered Approach to Positive Girl and Boy Development – Key Outcomes and Recommendations of the 2018 Gender 360 Summit

September 2018 — This document offers action-oriented recommendations for how Positive Girl and Boy Development — across gender identity, sexual orientation, race and ethnicity, and disability — can strengthen development outcomes. The recommendations emerged from the 2018 Gender 360 Summit held in June in Washington, DC. They focus on the intersections among positive child, adolescent and youth development, gender equality, empowerment and inclusion. Implicit in the recommendations is the idea that boys, girls and youth of diverse gender identities must participate fully in all stages of international development and be drivers and agents of change.
