2019 — This curriculum contains technical updates to the original 2006 publication. Tailored for a Uganda audience (but easily adapted for use in other countries), the trainer’s guide describes six workshops for a Christian audience. Participants practice communication skills and learn factual information linked to religious teachings and appropriate Bible verses. The manual encourages open discussion about sexuality, reproductive health and HIV/AIDS in the context of the Christian community. It provides a forum to clarify Christian values on these topics while providing accurate technical information. It is not designed to promote religion.
The participant handbook is intended for use during the workshops and for participants to keep and use when talking about reproductive health and HIV with youth.
