This fact sheet details the implementation of DREAMS (Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored, Safe) in five priority areas of South Africa: the districts of eThekwini, uMkhanyakude and uMgungundlovu in KwaZulu-Natal and the City of Johannesburg and Ekurhuleni district in Gauteng province. These areas include specific sub-districts targeted for their high burden in HIV transmission. The fact sheet describes core activities done during implementation and includes the voices of DREAMS Ambassadors who have benefited from the program and who continue to mentor other adolescent girls and young women.
