This resource outlines a decade of Capacity Development Support (CDS) project impact in South African communities through projects focusing on HIV/AIDS, orphans and vulnerable children, and youth. It also includes research studies, supported by CDS, on gender-based violence and supportive referrals. The CDS program has actively advocated for community wellness and health through its nutrition programs, ReACH, and economic development efforts supported through the Intensive Economic Strengthening stream of the Determined, Resilient, Empowered, AIDS-free, Mentored and Safe (DREAMS) program. The program has also worked closely with the South African government in efforts to build capacity and bridge identified gaps in implementation and skills development.
