FHI 360 joins our peer organizations in calling again for unimpeded humanitarian access into and across Gaza. In a formal submission on March 23, 2024, under National Security Memorandum 20, those delivering aid in Gaza shared grave and concerning eyewitness accounts. They cite the closure of vital border crossings; rejections of aid items for entry based on arbitrary, opaque and shifting justifications; lengthy delays; and the denial of movement requests within Gaza. These are all unacceptable obstacles that FHI 360 has witnessed in other conflicts around the world.
At FHI 360, we believe that all people have the right to lead full and healthy lives, built on a foundation of peace. We repeat our call for an immediate and sustained ceasefire, the release of all hostages, and the rapid and unfettered delivery of humanitarian aid to those in Gaza.
