FHI 360 is committed to moving evidence into practice to improve the health and development of the people and communities we serve. We purposefully employ a range of strategies across the research-to-practice continuum to achieve maximum impact. As a global research and implementation organization, FHI 360 is uniquely positioned to implement research utilization.
Research Utilization Framework
Our research utilization framework illustrates our approach before, during and after evidence is produced. We do this by synthesizing and disseminating new and existing evidence; supporting champions and decisionmakers to use evidence; developing and promoting evidence-based policy and service delivery guidelines, job aids, curricula and other materials; organizing global, regional and national technical consultations and learning exchanges; developing strategies to scale up effective practices and programs; and providing technical assistance for policymakers and program implementers at the country level to use evidence in decisionmaking.
FHI 360 Research Utilization Expertise
Our research utilization staff offers technical expertise in a wide range of topics. In reproductive health, we have promoted the translation of research findings to support: family planning and HIV integration, community-based access to family planning, dissemination of evidence-based job aids for health providers, family planning and child immunization integration, and mobile technologies for health, among other areas.
