FHI 360 works to eliminate neglected tropical diseases (NTDs) and reduce preventable deaths through the development of sustainable treatment programs for long-term control of NTDs. These efforts are complemented by working with local partners to strengthen government technical and operational capacities and by increasing advocacy efforts in areas such as resource mobilization, systems strengthening and cross-sectoral collaboration.
FHI 360 works with the U.S. Agency for International Development, other global health partners, sub-grantees and national ministries of health. We oversee the successful rollout and implementation of country-led activities through:
- Coordination of drug supply and delivery
- Implementation of mass drug administration and other in-country NTD control activities
- Capacity building to strengthen disease surveillance and improve data quality and analysis for decision making
- Knowledge management and dissemination
FHI 360 administers two NTD projects:
- Act to End Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) | West (Act | West), funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development
- Neglected Tropical Disease Support in Laos, funded by Margaret A. Cargill Philanthropies
