In Tajikistan, FHI 360 connects expertise and evidence to address global health security challenges related to HIV and tuberculosis (TB).
We work directly with the government of Tajikistan and local organizations to ensure that key and priority populations have access to HIV prevention, testing and treatment programs. Through the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project, we strengthen the capacity of the Tajikistan government, civil society organizations, local partners and the private sector to provide community-based HV services.
As a part of our effort to prevent the spread of TB, the U.S. Agency for International Development’s End Tuberculosis Tajikistan Activity works with local partners, civil society organizations, the National TB Program and the government of Tajikistan to increase early TB detection, expand TB treatment access and strengthen TB systems for public health emergencies. We prioritize a locally led model of people- and community-centered care to reach every person with TB.
FHI 360 will continue to lead in public health and development in Tajikistan, focusing on building evidence, systems and capacities to improve the lives of underserved populations to ensure a sustainable future for the country’s people.
