In Namibia, FHI 360 uses proven interventions to strengthen the capacity of the government and local partners to improve health and nutrition policies and services. We collaborate with the Ministry of Health and Social Services to integrate nutrition into national HIV services and community-based primary care programs and assist other partners in integrating nutrition into maternal and child health programming. We also help develop national nutrition and HIV guidelines, training materials and job aids that are used to train health care providers.
HIV prevention is an important part of our work. We use innovative strategies to educate people about HIV prevention and promote behavior change that reduces their risk for HIV infection. And, we equip national partners with the tools they need to design and implement similar social and behavior change programs.
