Capacity building is the cornerstone of FHI 360’s work in Moldova. Currently, we focus on working closely with local civil society organizations to help build the skills they need to support their communities. Our training programs cover such topics as project management, institutional strengthening, financial systems and leadership skills. We also foster partnerships with private business to help organizations diversify their funding bases and become more sustainable.
In Moldova, the Meeting Targets and Maintaining Epidemic Control (EpiC) project supports strengthening of the medical oxygen ecosystem by procuring and installing oxygen-generating pressure swing adsorption (PSA) plants in four hospitals. This work is supported by a Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria COVID-19 Response Mechanism (C19RM) grant.
