In Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), FHI 360 focuses on mitigating the impacts of HIV among women and children by improving and expanding opportunities for community development, strengthening child protection, promoting gender equality and increasing household livelihoods. We collaborate with national and community partners to train women in legal and financial literacy and early childhood development as well as provide education and training opportunities for young people and mobilize them to support community development priorities. Creating a supportive environment for women and children is a key goal: FHI 360 trains community institutions and committees to understand and advance the rights and interests of women and children and improve access to legal services to help women protect their assets and safeguard the well-being of their dependents.
