FHI 360 supports the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases on communications around seasonal influenza campaigns, responses to outbreaks and respiratory diseases, and immunization across the lifespan. FHI 360’s social marketing and communication team conducts audience research and tests approaches, materials and messages that promote childhood, adolescent and adult immunizations, as well as seasonal influenza immunizations.

Under contract to Porter Novelli Public Services, Inc., FHI 360 conducts formative research, including public opinion polls, surveys, in-depth and cognitive interviews, small group/triad discussions and focus group discussions. Outreach includes audiences such as a variety of health care professionals, older adults, expectant mothers and parents of young children and adolescents. Findings from this research inform the development of messages and materials that support CDC’s efforts to prevent disease outbreak.
