General public health strategies for managing STDs include diagnosis and treatment in STD clinics, promoting condoms, and designing STD control programs that target core transmitters.

However, in areas with a high prevalence of STDs and adequate resources, offering STD management services through FP/MCH clinics should be considered in addition to general strategies.
