August 2016 — This final issue of the Saath-Saath Project bulletin showcases the overall achievements and contributions to Nepal’s National HIV Response from October 2011 to June 2016. Noteworthy achievements include distributing 100 million condoms, reaching more than 500,000 people with HIV prevention messages and reaching more than 100,000 people with voluntary counseling and treatment and case management for sexually transmitted infections. The project’s cutting-edge programs, like early infant diagnosis, public–private-partnership, the Technical and Organizational Capacity Assessment Tool and sustainability analysis workshops, contributed to the success of the project.

April 2016 — Saath-Saath Bulletin Volume 10 presents how Saath-Saath Project prevention strategies have effectively encouraged key affected populations to adopt safer behaviors and minimize their risks. The issue outlines some of the project’s innovative and ground-breaking approaches, including the use of technology. It covers HIV prevention activities targeted toward female sex workers, such as mobilization of community-based organizations; mobile messaging for HIV prevention, care, support and treatment; and microplanning. The bulletin reports on the launch of the National Public-Private-Partnership Initiative for HIV Response and other important news and events from November 2015 to February 2016.

November 2015 — Saath-Saath Bulletin Volume 9 presents a summary of the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) 90-90-90 targets to reduce HIV and a snapshot of Nepal’s current situation, including Saath-Saath Project’s efforts and contributions. It also covers early infant diagnosis (EID) of HIV in Nepal and Saath-Saath Project’s support to scale up EID in the country to ensure that children born with HIV live a healthy life. Additionally, the newsletter includes briefs on news and events from July to October 2015.

July 2015 — Saath-Saath Bulletin Volume 8 discusses the project’s new initiative on gender-based violence prevention and mitigation services for female sex workers and transgender sex workers that was initiated in October 2014. Furthermore, it covers the impact of the massive April 2015 earthquake in Nepal on the project’s beneficiaries and the project’s support to them, as well as important news and events of the project from March through June 2015.

March 2015 — Saath-Saath Bulletin Volume 7 is the project’s International Women’s Day Special Issue. The issue is dedicated to the women leaders of the national networks of key affected populations for their admirable contributions to the national HIV response in Nepal. These communities commonly experience high levels of stigma and discrimination and are disproportionately infected with and affected by HIV. The newsletter presents the project’s crucial role in establishing and strengthening the capacity of these networks. In addition, the bulletin covers important news and events of the project from November 2014 through February 2015.
