The Educational Innovation Project (EIP) is funded by USAID and implemented by FHI 360. The project supports the Salvadoran Ministry of Education, Science and Technology; local higher education institutions (HEIs); and primary school communities to, in part, reinforce the capacity of HEIs to carry out research and strengthen initial teacher training (ITT) curricula for basic education.
Through this request for applications (RFA), EIP will award one grant to a Salvadoran HEI to conduct a study on initial teacher training in basic education in El Salvador. The study will analyze the supply and demand of ITT in basic education to identify current and future training needs so HEIs can develop effective pedagogical practices for university students.
