State-Level Operational Plans for Elimination of Mother-to-Child Transmission of HIV in Nigeria, 2013–2015
2014 — Through the Strengthening Integrated Delivery of HIV/AIDS Services (SIDHAS) project, FHI 360 provided technical assistance for the development of eight state-specific operational plans to strengthen services for the prevention of mother-to-child transmission of HIV and close coverage gaps by 2015. Each state-specific report outlines goals, objectives, targets and implementation approaches and is linked to the goals set forth in the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS Global Plan — which aims to eliminate new HIV infections among children by 2015.
If these plans are implemented to scale, 67,536 HIV infections will be averted among women ages 15 to 49. Read the reports below to learn more.
