Social and Emotional Learning in Crisis and Conflict (fact sheet)

July 2018 — A safe, supportive learning environment with role models who promote positive childhood development is especially critical in a conflict and crisis context. This fact sheet presents FHI 360’s conflict-sensitive education approach to strengthening education systems, including social-emotional learning as a critical part of all education programming. It is linked to short-term and long-term outcomes, such as improvements in academic achievement, behavior, and health and decreases in aggression and substance abuse.
