Reaching the First 90: HIV Self-testing for Key Populations

October 2017 — This brief highlights the advantages of HIV self-testing for key populations. Self-testing expands access to HIV testing services, reaches those at high risk who might not otherwise get tested and contributes to the UNAIDS 90-90-90 target that 90 percent of all people living with HIV should know their status. Reported benefits for key populations include privacy, convenience, pain-free testing and ease of use.
