Promoting Civic Engagement to Address Unsanctioned Cattle Grazing in Public Spaces in Kyrgyzstan

March 2022 — This success story presents the results of activities undertaken from 2020 to 2022 under the Jigerduu Jarandar (Active Communities) project being implemented by FHI 360 in Kyrgyzstan. Specifically, the report highlights the accomplishments of local residents in solving an issue of concern — unauthorized cattle and sheep grazing in public spaces — in Kok-Jangak, a former mining town in the Jalal-Abad region of southern Kyrgyzstan.
