2012 — This case study highlights the goals, methodology, partnerships and successes of the Darfur Community Strengthening Program, which empowered Darfuri citizens to take ownership of rebuilding their communities. Funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development, the program worked through local partners to train and support Darfuri civil society organizations in engaging their communities to bring tangible improvements to secondary education and youth empowerment activities. Both Darfuri citizens and the government identified these areas as important economically and socially.
