CVE Reference Guide for Local Organizations
August 2020 — The idea for creating an online CVE Reference Guide for Local Organizations came directly from local civil society organizations that implement projects to prevent and counter violent extremism (P/CVE). Many of these organizations in countries affected by violent extremism struggle to access practical, concise and relevant materials designed specifically for their use and in their primary languages (many existing materials were developed for policymakers, donors or international organizations). Few resources offer practical tips for local practitioners to adapt in their own communities.
With support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), FHI 360 designed this tool to provide users with the ability to easily access materials according to their needs and time constraints. Modular sections address different stages of the project cycle (assess, design, implement, monitor and evaluate, learn). The guide highlights practical frameworks and worksheets for local organizations to use to support their P/CVE programming.
