Using data from a dapivirine vaginal ring effectiveness trial in sub-Saharan Africa, this paper assessed how participant worries about ring use changed over time and impacted product adherence. Patient worries were common at enrollment but largely resolved over time and with more practice using the ring. The authors suggest that early interventions can effectively address product-use worries to support higher adherence.
