The Global Action Plan for Women’s Nutrition is an initiative that aims to champion an Action Agenda to prioritize and accelerate policy and finance commitments to women’s and girls’ nutrition. The Action Agenda is a call to decision-makers at the global, regional and national levels — funders, policymakers, civil society organizations, international nongovernmental organizations and the private sector — to unite to significantly and rapidly improve women’s and girls’ nutrition.

FHI 360 is leading the co-creation and dissemination of the Action Agenda through an inclusive, participatory process involving more than 60 national and international partners. To date, the FHI 360 team has led formative research, including perception research with funders, stakeholder mapping, policy reviews and opinion leader research, and has facilitated multiple consultations and partnership meetings.

The primary aims of the Action Agenda are to unlock bold and novel sources of funding, spur innovation, inspire new partnerships, encourage investment in quality data systems, and increase policy coherence to ensure that women and girls around the world have access to healthy diets and quality health and social care, to advance gender equity, and to create a strong multisystem environment that enables women and girls to continue living healthy lives.

FHI 360 aims to launch and disseminate the Action Agenda in May 2023. You can find more information on the Agenda here, and more information on women’s and girl’s nutrition here.
