The TransACTION project targets populations who face a high risk of HIV infection, including commercial sex workers, at-risk youth, mobile and migrant workers, truck drivers and communities along identified transportation routes in Ethiopia. The project aims to provide targeted prevention of new HIV infections; to strengthen linkages to community-based care and support services, HIV counseling and testing, and treatment of sexually transmitted infections for at-risk populations; to increase demand for interpersonal counseling, health services and social support activities; and to improve the capacity of local nongovernmental organizations and private facilities to manage targeted prevention programs. Save the Children US is the primary implementing partner. FHI 360 provides technical direction to the project and staff for its behavior change communication activities.
