Duration
2008 - 2009

FHI 360 supported the Vietnam Ministry of Health’s Committee on Smoking and Health (VINACOSH) to make hospitals smoke free. For this project, FHI 360 developed A Smoke-Free Hospital Guide in Vietnam and monitored its implementation. FHI 360 also conducted an assessment of attitudes and smoking behaviors among family members of patients in hospitals. Data from the assessment helped hospital staff develop messages to persuade visitors to put the health of patients first and refrain from smoking on the premises.
