FHI 360, in collaboration with lead partner Deloitte Consulting, LLP; the Government of Nigeria; and local Nigerian organizations, is implementing the Enhancing Nigerian Capacity for AIDS Prevention (ENCAP) project. The goals of ENCAP are to increase local capacity to implement, monitor and evaluate HIV prevention programs and to promote behaviors that decrease the risk of HIV transmission. FHI 360 is coordinating activities at the state level, managing grants to local recipients and providing technical leadership in HIV prevention. ENCAP spans Bayelsa, Rivers, Benue, Taraba and Ebonyi states, as well as the Federal Capital Territory.
