As FHI 360’s senior advisor for organizational evaluation and evidence, Chris Odell supports FHI 360’s efforts to strengthen learning and evidence systems. Prior to joining FHI 360, he was most recently a senior product manager at the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington.
Odell designs and supports processes to share knowledge and learning across FHI 360. He works to synthesize scientific knowledge for organizational learning, contributes to strategy and measurement frameworks, and leads and conducts research in support of strategy implementation.
Odell brings to FHI 360 more than 14 years of experience in data collection, program evaluation, government engagement and big-data modeling, mostly in public health. He has worked extensively in eastern and southern Africa and Latin America, working with ministries of health and technical partners to develop and incorporate key indicators into public health systems.
Odell holds a master’s degree in public policy with a focus on global development and econometrics from University of California at Los Angeles, and a bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in organizational leadership from Azusa Pacific University.
