USAID Breastfeeding Symposium

August 26, 2016

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Office of Maternal and Child Health and Nutrition and Office of Food for Peace, in partnership with the FANTA and the Alive & Thrive projects managed by FHI 360, are hosting the USAID Breastfeeding Symposium. This event will bring USAID staff together with experts to look at the latest evidence and programmatic approaches in the area of breastfeeding. Because nutrition is a cornerstone of well-being, particularly in the first 24 months of life, symposium participants will take a close look at the progress that is needed to meet the Sustainable Development Goals.

The meeting will be held in Washington, DC, on August 29, 2016, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the FHI 360 Conference Center, located at 1825 Connecticut Avenue NW. Lunch will be provided.

FHI 360 partners with countries, international organizations and funders to strengthen the evidence base, methods and global standards for food security and nutrition programming.
