USAID and FHI 360 partnership: two decades of successful HIV interventions in Nepal

Sheila Lutjens (left), Acting Mission Director of USAID Nepal, and Dr. Naresh Pratap K.C., Director of the National Centre for AIDS and STD Control (NCASC)Kathmandu, Nepal – Yesterday, FHI 360 and the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) celebrated 20 years of partnering to combat the spread of HIV in Nepal. FHI 360 has been a primary recipient of USAID’s major HIV interventions in Nepal since 1993, including through the ongoing Saath-Saath project, which supports the Government of Nepal in its efforts to reduce the transmission and impact of HIV and improve reproductive health.
