FROM THE CEO
There is too much hate in the United States. Over the last several years, we have seen an unrelenting rise in racial and gender-based violence – most recently the horrific murder of eight people in Atlanta, including the targeting of six women of Asian descent.
FHI 360 rejects racism, misogyny and all forms of discrimination. They betray our core values and basic human decency. As an organization devoted to human well-being, FHI 360 calls on all members of the human development community to stand in solidarity with those so unjustly targeted.
In the wake of the growing incidence of hate crimes against Asian Americans and violence against women, we believe it is important to reaffirm our commitment to equal and just treatment for all people. We must continue working to address the fear and ignorance that so often lead to hateful acts and to promote reform of the systems and attitudes that impede the health, safety and well-being of people in the United States and around the world.
